ABOUT ME
REEL
Hello ~ I'm Jon, currently a freelance rigging artist and technical director. In 2021, I graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas where I studied technical animation and scripting for both film and game pipelines.
Outside of my typical rigging work - I also enjoy MoCap animation have been teaching myself modeling.

'Strings is an animated short about a young woman living in an abusive relationship. Another argument is in progress and it gets blown out of proportion. As she stares at how perfect the outside world views her current life, she is transformed into a puppet where she seeks comfort and freedom in the images of her past'

RIGGING
Maya Muscle

This project was a dive into Maya's muscle systems which are used to add a layer of secondary animation and realism by simulating muscle volume and gravity.
The muscles take the place of typical skin weighting and react to movement from the joints. With numerous channels and options, Maya muscle provides a satisfying level of secondary animation to any rig.
